Mohammed Yekini Suberu, a professional member of the Institute of Electrical Electronic Engineers (IEEE), United State of America and of the International Research and Development Institute (IRDI), Ghana, in his active excellent reseach works in the field of electrical power systems and renewable energy assessment and development within and abroad has bagged him the recent awards; Best Postgraduate Student Award of Academic Excellence, Prochancellor Academic Award of Execellence, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (2013) in conjunction with UTM 50th Convocation. Other awards include the International Young Energy Research Scientist Award By the Center for Energy Research in conjuction with the United Nation (UN) and the United State of America, and the Internationa Doctorial Fellowship (IDF) Award (Scholarship) Malaysia.
